Park House

Lauren Short

Manager of Park House

Hi my names Lauren, I have been working alongside children in a residential child care setting for over 6 years. In this time, I have gained my level 3 and completed a vast amount of training, which includes, DSL, CSE, Leading and managing staff, caring for traumatised children and safeguarding. I am passionate about supporting our young people develop their skills, work on their independence and overcome life’s challenges.

Throughout my career, I have worked with young people with EBD and ASD. I also worked in a SEN school for a short period and from this I gained the experience of working alongside young people with more complex disabilities.

I like to lead by example and pass on my experience and knowledge to my staff team and the young people we support. It brings me pride to see people flourish and succeed and know I have been a part to this.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family, reading and going on walks in the countryside
